Q: "What should I do when I receive my beautiful bouquet?"

A: The most important tip is to re-cut your flowers at an angle Using a knife or sharp scissors so as not to crush the stems.

Have your vase spotlessly clean using an antibacterial cleaning Fluid after which you add liquid flower food which will be attached to your Flower delivery.

Remember to remove any foliage below the water line as This will accelerate bacterial growth.


Q: "Why are my rosé and gerbera heads drooping?"

A: This is a very common problem and easily fixed!

  • Firstly re-cut the steams and wrap in paper.

  • Stand them in fresh water and flower food.

  • Leave for several hours and remove paper.


They are now ready to include in your flower arrangement!



Q: "I have a very warm room !what flowers are most suitable?"

A: There are many varieties available with these being the most popular In Ireland!

Anthurium or flamingo flower is very popular as it need a temperature of 15 to 20* c or they will blemish very quickly.

Strelitzia or bird of paradise flower as the name suggests have beautiful Bird like bracts in orange and blue.

A room temperature of 15 to 20* c in required .

They are very interesting as they hold an extra flower in the bract which Can be gently prised out when removing the older flower.


Q: "Why are my carnations not lasting to long?"

A: This usually occurs when they are placed near ripening fruits As the naturally produced gas called "ethylene"(which is Harmless to humans and animals) affects the vase life of certain Flowers ( orchids, carnations etc )!


Q: "When I mix daffodils and hyacinths with my other flowers, They don't last to long, why?"

A:the sap in these bulb flowers shortens the vase life Of other flower varieties!

Place the daffodil and hyacinth flowers in their own bucket of water for several hours as this will clear the sap and allow for introduction To the flower vase.
